Michele,
the video lesson I did has been, hands down, the best thing I’ve
ever done for my riding. I recommend a video lesson to anyone interested
in learning to sit the trot, correct their position, deepen their seat,
and develop as a rider. The expense and effort are well worth the
results! ~ Helen Hutchinson

In
those moments when awareness succeeds in being one with feeling, senses,
movement, and thought…then man can make discoveries, invent, create,
innovate, and “know.” He grasps that his small world and the great
world around are but one and that in this unity he is no longer alone.

I have
long suspected that it is not my horse who needs to improve, but me; my
seat needs to be more open, my legs longer, hands quieter, head taller,
shoulders more agile, the list is long. I have long struggled at
finding an instructor who can really see me, both my potential and the
areas which need help.
Then I found Michele. She came to
my barn and spent the afternoon working with me, getting my body aligned
before I ever even got on my horse. Some people may not like to spend
all that time on the ground, but it made sense, a lot of it. My
shoulders were suddenly square and I could begin to rotate my hips
independently of my torso. I felt really strong from my shoulders all
the way to my ankles.
When I
got on Phoenix, Michele had me adjust my body. And, there, suddenly,
sitting right under me, where my seat bones! and under them, my horse. I
can honestly say that in all of my years of riding I have never had that
feeling. It was thrilling.
I am very excited to have Michele
in my neck of the woods. I can already feel improvement and am looking
forward to spending a couple of hours with her every few weeks. I
am thrilled to have found a teacher who teaches me how to use me and let
the pony do what he does best, which is make me happy, healthy, vibrant,
and full of joy. ~ Chaya Stillwater-Lanz |

I have
just read your articles and wish that I had been lucky enough to have
had them when I was competing. You have just shed so much light on a
problem that I thought was beyond fixing! I used to block my horse on
the right side with my hip, which would end with us falling out on
circles. Canter and most extended movements were hit and miss. I had
hands on therapy from my dressage trainer who also gave me exercises to
do but nothing ever seemed to do the trick and my horse tried more than
his hardest for me…You explained everything so clearly, and it works! I
will never lose your articles and will be passing this on. Thank you so
so much. ~ Helen Clark, Grantham, United Kingdom |

Having
attended two clinics and a number of private sessions with Michele
Morseth I am an enthusiastic advocate of the process she shares. My
riding has soooo improved which I attribute directly to the "movement
classes" and how that translates to my seat. Having been an endurance
rider and now shifting to lessons in Dressage, Michele's instruction is
invaluable! My seat has deepened and my horse is responding to my
communication with a more relaxed and willing attitude. No matter what
level of rider you are, you will improve by discovering the nuances of
your movement and how it translates to your horse. In my every day life
my awareness of how I move has been heightened and because of this I
feel more fluid in all I do! Thank you Michele! ~ Katie

The clinic
was an amazing, easy way to get to know how I move my body and how I
influence my horse while riding. I found the ground work exercises very
essential to understanding my body better and they translated into the
saddle amazingly. I now am able to work with a more independent seat and
continue to use the ground exercises and the lung exercises every time I
ride. The body awareness that I gained in the lung lessons has made a
tremendous difference in how my horse and I communicate. ~

A week
after attending your clinic I had lessons with my dressage instructor and we had
some AWESOME work. She kept commenting how much more relaxed Salsa was
- I didn't tell her until after our last lesson that it was MEEEE! that
was more relaxed and I was allowing Miss Salsa to do her best stuff. It
was fun. We worked on our half passes - 3rd level here we come! ~

Recently I
was able to ride in a Sit The Trot! clinic. I found the morning
exercises and afternoon lunge lessons to be a real eye-opener. In three
days I went from being a crooked hunchbacked rider to a more aware and
balanced one. I've spent hundreds of dollars on riding lessons over the
years and things were great when the clinician was there, but then that
person is gone. The lessons that Michele teaches are never gone.... I
encourage all riders to take a look at what Michele teaches. ~

I'm a
intermediate western rider that feels like I've just taken a huge step
forward with my riding skills! Taking Michelle's month long course was
so much fun! I learned better balance, how to use my aides in a quiet
manner, better communication with my horse. I feel more confident and
relaxed when I ride-it's wonderful! Any rider of any discipline would
benefit from the program! Thanks Michele! ~ La Cresa Scherrer |
